Obituary for Charlotte Madison – WEST POINT, VA

WEST POINT – Charlotte Ball Madison, 77, of West Point, Virginia, died Friday, September 14, 2007. Her parents, Charlie and Elsie Ball, preceded her in death.

Charlotte was a member of West Point United Methodist Church, where she was active. Previously, she worked as a Sunday school teacher. Charlotte currently served as president of the altar guild, chair of the memorial committee, member of the church council, and minister of communion.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Wilbert Madison; daughter, Meredith Lloyd of White Stone; son, Wilson Madison of Cumberland; six grandchildren: Christopher Lloyd, Andrea Madison, Charlie Lloyd, Stephan Madison, Jonathan Madison and Courtney Madison; two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Pepper Lloyd.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at West Point United Methodist Church, 1020 Main St., West Point, Virginia. Burial will be at Old Church United Methodist Church Cemetery in Shanghai, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, Virginia.
