NFL analytics expert predicts the Jacksonville Jaguars’ win totals for the 2024 season

The 2024 season will be an important one for the Jacksonville Jaguars as the team looks to return to the playoffs in the increasingly competitive AFC South.

Beyond that, it’s hard to know what to expect from Jacksonville this season. However, NFL Analytics expert Cynthia Frelund shared her prediction for the team’s total wins in the 2024 season. Currently, she predicts the Jaguars will win 8.5 games during the season.

“We’ll learn a lot about the success of the Jags’ offseason moves as the 2024 campaign begins, and Jacksonville will start the year with four of the toughest games of any team in the league (Dolphins, Browns, Bills in Texas),” Frelund wrote.

“The average Jags projection is a wild card, but my models show they need to make it to Week 12 with at least six wins to have a strong likelihood of securing a spot in the tournament.”

Jacksonville’s 8.5 wins rank second in the AFC South heading into the 2024 season. Currently, the Houston Texans top the league with 10.0 wins, but the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars are tied in terms of projected win totals. The Tennessee Titans round out the bottom of the standings.

In addition to his projected win total, Frelund gives the Jaguars +120 odds to make the playoffs, +285 odds to win the division, +2,500 odds to win the AFC and +4,500 odds to win the Super Bowl.
