The Denver native is honored to be featured on the cover of the video game Madden 25 – 98.5 KYGO

Winning the Super Bowl or the NFL MVP award would be the pinnacle of football achievement, but getting your photo taken in one of the most popular video games of all time has to be up there too. This is happening for a kid from Colorado!

Electronic Arts Inc. announced on Tuesday (June 11) that San Francisco 49ers star running back and Denver native Christian McCaffrey will be on the cover of EA Sports Madden NFL 25, the world premiere of which will take place on August 16.

McCaffrey, son of Denver Broncos great Ed McCaffrey, was born and raised in Castle Rock, Colorado. Christian graduated from Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch in 2014 and then attended Stanford University, where his father and mother attended college.

Christian’s parents still live in Colorado, so he frequently visited his home state during the NFL offseason, most recently at Red Rocks, where he joined country star Zach Bryan on stage to play keyboards.

McCaffrey was featured on the cover of Madden for the first time since 2014, when Barry Sanders was featured on the global cover and Adrian Peterson was featured on the PS4 and XBox One alternate versions.
