AUSTIN, Texas – A man accused of stabbing multiple people in North Austin remains in jail after the alleged attack.

Court documents accuse 25-year-old Hector Elias Contreras-Uribe of stabbing multiple people on June 9 at The Ivy Apartments while cooking together.

According to the affidavit, Contreras-Uribe was grilling with his two brothers when the man told him his music was too loud. The argument escalated when Contreras-Uribe threw a rock at the man, hitting him in the face.

They got into a physical fight, which resulted in Contreras-Uribe allegedly stabbing the man multiple times. As the brothers tried to break up the fight, the victim’s father also ran to help, leading to Contreras-Uribe allegedly stabbing him in the chest and back.

After his father was stabbed, the victim went to his truck and grabbed a knife, then stabbed Contreras-Uribe in self-defense. Police said after the incident that everyone was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They also said that all those involved in the incident knew each other.

Garcia Hernandez said his father and brother were injured in an accident that occurred during a barbecue. He said he is still trying to get more information about what happened but is concerned for everyone’s safety.

“I talked to my brother’s wife in Mexico. She was very worried and cried about him, my mother and other brothers are also very worried,” Garcia Hernandez said. – I don’t know what will happen.
