Linda Faye Tyson Hilburn of Pinehurst, formerly of Cerro Gordo, died Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Linda was born June 5, 1941, in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Fred Franklin Tyson and Retha Walters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rossie James Hilburn; son Darryl Wayne Hilburn; and three siblings Jimmy Tyson (wife Shirley), Anita Tyson and Brenda T. Ramsey.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Tyson Cemetery with Dr. David Vess officiating.

The family will interact with friends following the service at the cemetery.

Linda leaves behind a son, Rick G. Hilburn of Dunn, North Carolina.
