Watch Wyatt Flores share an inspiring message with fans at CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium

By meerna Jun12,2024

Last weekend was a big one for Wyatt Flores. On Friday night (June 7), he headlined the opening night of the Laurel Cove Music Festival in Pineville, Kentucky. A few days later, Flores was on stage at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on the final night of CMA Fest.

Last year, Flores came to Laurel Cove as a spectator. Additionally, he played at the much smaller Spotify House during CMA Fest. That’s why his performances on Friday and Sunday highlight how much his star has risen over the past year. The growth spurt is not lost on Oklahomans. During his appearance at the stadium, Nissan took a moment to share his gratitude for their presence and deliver an inspiring message to his fans. Yesterday (June 10), he shared the moment on social media.

The post included a short clip of Wyatt Flores speaking to the crowd. In the caption, he wrote, “Thank you for inviting the kid from Oklahoma to the big stage last night in Nashville.” He also tagged the Country Music Association.

“I’d be lying to you all if I said this week hasn’t been absolute hell for me,” he began. “This is our seventh show in five days, man. I can’t believe we have to be here,” he added, referring to the stadium stage.

“I wrote this song about a mile from here in an Airbnb while I was visiting Nashville and trying to make this dream come true. The truth is, I’m not from Nashville. I’m not. I’m from Oklahoma and this is who I am,” he said, introducing the song “Holes.”

“But it means the world to me that I have been accepted here and that I can sit on this stage and play my music. So thank you for being with us,” he said. “For anyone trying to chase their dreams, I am proof that it is possible,” he concluded, before starting to play the fan favorite.
