The spill closes Brookshire Highway and the I-485 exit in northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTA (NEWS FROM THE QUEEN’S CITY) — A spill has backed up traffic on Brookshire Highway in northwest Charlotte, where the interstates meet, Charlotte Fire announced Tuesday morning.

Exit 16 (Brookshire Blvd/Hwy) of I-485 is closed until further notice due to the spill while crews continue to clean up the mess.

Drivers are asked to avoid this area. No time has been given when the road will reopen.
