The Mount Holly-Jacksonville Road Bridge will be closed for emergency repairs beginning June 17

The Mount Holly-Jacksonville Road Bridge (D3.16) in Springfield will be closed for approximately two weeks, beginning Monday, June 17, for emergency repairs. The bridge crossing Assiscunk Creek is located on Mount Holly-Jacksonville Road (County Route 628) between Oxmead Road and Jacksonville-Jobstown Road.

During the closure, local traffic will still be able to access nearby residential properties and businesses. However, no through traffic will be allowed over the bridge. A detour will be in place using Oxmead Road and Smithville-Jacksonville Road.

The repair work will be performed by the Burlington County Department of Public Works’ construction services team. As the largest county in New Jersey, Burlington County maintains over 500 miles of county roads and is responsible for 411 bridges and 700 culverts.
