Queen Charlotte may have only been a limited series on Netflix, but fans loved it because the entire cast was so young and energetic. Some of the characters in the show are really young, as Queen Charlotte was only 17 when she got married, so fans are wondering how old the cast of Queen Charlotte is in relation to the characters they play.

The series goes back in time, so we see some of Queen Charlotte’s characters at two different points in their lives and at different ages. The scenes in the future take place between seasons two and three of Bridgerton, when the spin-off was released. India is only a few years older than Queen Charlotte, but what about the rest of the cast? Here are the ages of the cast of Queen Charlotte compared to the ages of the actors who played them at the time:

Queen Charlotte – India Armateifio

The younger of the two versions of the character we see in Queen Charlotte is supposed to be 17, as viewers know without a doubt when her characters declare, “I’m seven and 10!” In real life, India was 20 years old when she played the lead role in the series.

King George – Corey Mylchreest

In the Bridgerton spinoffs, it is never explicitly stated how old King George is supposed to be, but they are based on real people, and the real King George was 22 when he got married. Corey Mylchreest was 23 years old when the series began filming, but halfway through production he celebrated his 24th birthday.

Brimsley – Sam Clemmett

Brimsley’s age is not specified, but he is believed to be in his early 20s, making him slightly younger than actor Sam Clemmet, who was 28 at the time.

Reynolds – Freddie Dennis

Reynolds’ age is also not specified, but he is believed to be the same age as his on-screen partner, which is between 20 and 25 years old. Freddie Dennis was 24 or 25 years old at the time of filming, about the same age as Reynolds.

Lady Danbury – Arsema Thomas

In the series we learn that Lady Danbury was promised to her much older husband at the age of three. Her younger self, portrayed by Arsema Thomas, then 27, is in her early twenties.

The Old Lady of Danbury – Adjoa Andoh

The elderly Lady Danbury is said to be in her late 50s, which means the character is around the same age as actress Adjoa Andoh, who plays her, who was 59 at the time.

Elder Queen Charlotte – Golda Rosheuvel

Gold Rosheuvel, who plays the older version of Queen Charlotte in both the TV show of the same name and the three Bridgerton series, was 52 years old at the time of filming, the same age as her character, who is also 52 years old.

Older Violet Bridgerton – Ruth Gemmell

Violet Bridgerton is 48 years old in the scenes depicting her older self, four years younger than Ruth Gemmell, who was 52 at the time of filming. In Queen Charlotte, the younger version of Violet is several years younger than Charlotte herself and has not yet entered society, which means she cannot attend Lady Danbury’s ball, no matter how much she wants to.
