Tasty Takeaway: Prime 47 Father’s Day Deals – Indianapolis News | Weather in Indiana | Indiana traffic

Chef Ryan from Prime 47 shares some gourmet meat dishes that are perfect for Father’s Day. Although the restaurant will be closed on Father’s Day itself, it will be open on Saturday, allowing families to celebrate early.

Chef Ryan presented three bone-in dishes. The first is the Berkshire Kurobuta cutlet, a Japanese breed of pig bred in the USA. The pork chop is prepared with a maple-soy glaze and roasted onion butter, making it a unique option for Hoosiers. “This is one of our cosplay items that we do,” Ryan noted.

Then he presented 47-day-old dry-aged bone-in ribeye. The piece comes from Chicago-based Purely Meat, which manages Prime 47’s drying program. “We have our own rack there where they keep circulating stock for us,” Ryan explained, highlighting the specific 47-day aging process.

The last course was a tomahawk ribeye, distinguished by its massive bone. Unlike ribeye, this steak is not dry-aged, which is intended for those who prefer a more traditional steak flavor.

Prime 47 offers an upscale dining experience with options for everyone. Despite the high-class atmosphere, Chef Ryan ensures there is something for everyone. “Even though Prime 47 is an exclusive restaurant, everyone will find something for themselves there,” he said.

Throughout the rest of the summer, Prime 47 continues its half-price bottle of wine promotion on Saturdays, providing a more relaxed dining experience. “June is a little quieter for us, so it’s a really good time to come and enjoy something more upscale in an intimate setting,” Ryan mentioned. The restaurant can get busy, with up to 500 dishes served on some evenings, making Saturdays the best time to visit without the usual rush.

Prime 47 remains the premier destination for those seeking high-quality steaks and a refined dining experience in downtown Indianapolis.
