Study: Boston ranks 11th out of the top 1,000 cities in the world

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One of the best cities in the world to live in is right here, in our backyard. In the top ten list of the 1,000 best cities in the world, Boston ranks eleventh on the list.

According to the study, the British school Oxford Economics recently published a global city index – a ranking of cities based on five categories, including quality of life, environment and country governance.

In Boston, the highest-scoring categories included economics and human capital. Boston has always been considered a center for technology, innovation and university education.

When it came to the top three cities in the world, New York, London and San Jose, California took the top spots.
