Seven Army players selected as American Athletic preseason football stars

The Army soccer team earned seven spots on the All-American Athletic Conference preseason all-star team, named by Athlon Sports magazine.

Safety Max DiDomenico and linebacker Brady Small were named to the second team on defense and offense, respectively. Third-team selections include linebacker Kalib Fortner on defense and running backs Tyrell Robinson and Kanye Udoh on offense. The fourth team features linemen Kyle Lewis on defense and Lucas Scott on offense.

DiDomenico, who will serve as senior team captain during the 2024 season, had 52 tackles, and one of his two interceptions was crucial to the Black Knights’ victory in the Army-Navy game. Originally from Schertz, Texas.

A year ago, Small appeared in all 12 games as a freshman center, a rare feat for a plebe. He comes from Mount Ephraim, New Jersey
