Police say a 1-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Detroit

(CBS DETROIT) – A 1-year-old girl died after she was hit by a car in Detroit on Tuesday.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Snowden Street near Puritan Avenue. Detroit police said the child was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police did not provide any further details about the incident.
