One of the victims of sexual assault during an armed carjacking at a south Charlotte bank: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Three people were assaulted and kidnapped in a south Charlotte bank parking lot, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police reports.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Bank of America at 5801 South Blvd.

The victims, an 18-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, said the suspect was armed and stole their 2008 Toyota Camry. The findings show that the suspect also sexually assaulted one of the victims.

The report shows that none of the victims suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident. It is unclear whether the suspect was caught or charged. Police say this is an active investigation.
