Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks – Game 3

Jason Kidd made headlines after the first game by declaring Jaylen Brown Boston’s best player.

However, actions speak louder than words.

Despite this, Kidd allowed Brown to operate in isolation, sending up doubles and triples the way Jayson Tatum did. While this strategy worked from a scoring standpoint – Tatum finished with just 18 points – the superstar then singled out the Mavericks with his passing.

Playing doubles has probably been Tatum’s biggest area of ​​improvement throughout his career, and it was evident on Sunday night when he collected 12 dimes.

So clearly, I’m thrilled with Tatum’s assist market, which sits at 5.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. However, I decide to go with the combination prop because I think the 15.5 dimes and boards give us more room to work with. Boston’s best player is a prolific rebounder who is averaging over 10 rebounds per game in these playoffs. He could have easily scored 12 or 13 on Wednesday, requiring only three or four assists to get there.

Despite his shooting issues, I still expect Kidd to send a lot of defenders towards Tatum, and if that happens, he should continue to rack up assists to get there.
