Louisville and Indiana Metro Air Pollution Control District

The Department of Environmental Management issued a decision on air quality

Alert… VALID FROM MIDNIGHT EDT EARLY WEDNESDAY UNTIL MIDNIGHT

EDT WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

An orange air quality alert for ozone has been issued for:

Louisville metro area.

Members of vulnerable groups may experience health effects. The

the general public is unlikely to be affected. Sensitive groups include

elderly people… children… people suffering from asthma or other respiratory diseases

problems… and people with lung and heart diseases. People in these

groups are advised to limit outdoor activities to reduce their risk

exposure to ozone and particulate pollution.
