While current Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield’s tenure has been largely successful, there is one thing the Tigers have yet to achieve under his leadership: an American Athletic Conference championship.

However, based on FanDuel odds for spring 2024, this may be the Tigers’ best chance at achieving that goal.

The bookmaker lists Memphis as the favorite to win the AAC at +220. Tulane is second at +380, and South Florida is third at +550.

If the Tigers manage to win the AAC title, a $100 bet on Memphis would net a profit of $220.

The last AAC championship in Memphis was in 2019 under current Florida State head coach Mike Norvell. The Tigers did have ten wins in 2023, but did not reach the AAC championship game. SMU defeated Tulane in 2023 to win the crown in its final year in the league.

The 2024 season in Memphis will begin on August 31 against FCS North Alabama.
