Diane Crump – Scoop: Nashville

In late June, 58-year-old Diane Crump had an argument with her adult daughter, Brittney Crump, at their home. Diane told officers that Brittney was disrespectful and wanted to be “put out.” When officers approached the door, Brittney unlocked the deadbolt and opened the door, telling them that she was bathing her children when her mother suddenly became upset because she did not want to help with them. Outside, Diane told officers “I’m going to kill her” and then went into the house, sparking an argument during which she took a hammer from the kitchen and acted like she was going to hit her, so he stopped her. Diane explained that she grabbed a hammer to break the latch because Brittney kept closing it. Diane Crump was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
