Derby City Gaming wants to attract more locals this summer

Derby City Gaming, a Churchill Downs company, opened its downtown Louisville location six months ago. Marketing specialist Evan Landherr believes it’s a sign of the company’s belief in the downtown area. More from Trophy Bar at Derby City Gaming “Opening this facility was Churchill Downs’ way of reinvesting in the downtown community,” Landherr said. “To be a part of this movement, the revitalization of downtown Louisville.” Fascinator Bar at Derby City Gaming The venue boasts two floors of gaming, a sports bar with betting stands and two different bars, for people like Landherr, the variety of their space makes them an extra stop when visiting the city centre. “I think what we really try to do and what we pride ourselves on is that we’re in such a unique location to be a second place for entertainment if you come to a concert at the Yum Center or attend any of the whiskey tours,” Landherr said. One of the two bars is the Trophy Room, which is the only bar in Louisville where you can buy and smoke a cigar without a membership.
