Best Sushi in Denver: 2 on Yelp’s Top 100 Sushi Places

DENVER (KDVR) — If you’re looking for good sushi, Denver isn’t the worst place to look, according to Yelp’s “100 Best Sushi Places” for 2024.

Colorado had two places on the list, both located in Denver.

Mile High City and Centennial State have repeatedly appeared on recent Yelp lists, showcasing a wide range of cuisines.

The No. 1 restaurant on the list is in Hawaii, and many of the top 10 restaurants are located in coastal areas such as California and the West Coast.

Rocky Yama Sushi is located in the Santa Fe Arts District at the intersection of West 8th Avenue and Santa Fe.

The restaurant, open Tuesday through Sunday, boasts 4.7 stars on Yelp and 240 reviews, 195 of which are five stars.

According to the restaurant’s website, the owners “believe in creating an atmosphere of hospitality and comfort.”

Colorado Sake Co. is located in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver at 3559 Larimer Street.

The restaurant is open seven days a week, mainly in the evenings. It has a 4.7 rating on Yelp and 223 reviews. Of these reviews, 184 were five stars.

As the name suggests, in addition to serving sushi, it sells sake (Japanese rice wine).
