A new poolside social club opens in downtown Austin

A new poolside hangout is opening in downtown Austin, just in time for summer.

The Swim Club, described as “a historic swimming pool transformed into a social club where guests can swim, eat and dance all night long,” takes the stage on June 24 at 701 E. 11th St. Guests can enjoy a transformed historic swimming pool, daytime pool parties, a deluxe ’80s-inspired menu, and more.

Despite the lavish restaurant and the assumption of exclusivity that often accompanies social clubs, the Swim Club is open to everyone. In fact, Swim Club founder Travis Tober, who also co-owns Nickel City, Murray’s Tavern and Old Pal, described the place as “chilled.”
