Woman rescued from roof of burning home in central Ohio – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

COLUMBUS – A woman was rescued from the roof of a burning Columbus home Tuesday morning.

After the rescue, the woman and another person were taken to hospital, – our press partners reported on WBNS-10 television.

The Columbus Fire Department was called to a home in the 1400 block of Republic Ave just after 4:30 a.m.

When Columbus firefighters arrived, a woman was seen on the roof of the home.

Columbus Division police officers climbed onto cars to reach her and rescue her from the back of the roof, officials said.

The woman and another person were taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

The woman’s condition was described as stable. The condition of the second person is unknown at this time.

The fire is currently under investigation.
