The longest DIA flight in history will depart for Istanbul on Tuesday

The longest flight in history at Denver International Airport – a nonstop flight from Denver to Istanbul – will take to the skies for the first time on Tuesday evening.

The new Turkish Airlines flight will take travelers from Colorado to Istanbul a distance of 10,130 km, which will be the longest flight in DIA history. airport officials announced in April. The flight will last about 13 hours, which is longer than the 12-hour, 5,788-mile direct flight between Denver and Tokyo.

“This new partnership is expected to bring more than $54 million in annual economic impact to Colorado and approximately 350 new jobs.” – informed the airport authorities.

According to the Turkish Airlines booking website, the first flight is scheduled to depart Denver on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.

Nonstop flights between Denver and Istanbul – a service exclusive to Turkish Airlines – will operate with DIA every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, according to the airline’s reservations data. The fourth weekly flight, departing on Sundays, will join the rotation on July 9.

Turkish Airlines is the 26th airline to serve Denver International Airport, and Denver will be the 14th U.S. city to offer direct flights to Turkey.
