LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, Indiana, celebrated its 30th anniversary on Friday.

The club was designed and founded by Fuzzy Zoeller, Indiana’s most accomplished professional golfer, who won two major championships.

The course is a par 72 championship course with a full-service restaurant and event space.

Business leaders say the Covered Bridge is key to southern Indiana’s economic growth.

“Communities that offer amenities like golf courses kind of help with business recruitment, business retention, industry and so on because people want to live in a place that has amenities that they can come and enjoy on a regular basis,” he said Lance Allison, president and CEO of One Southern Indiana.

Golf hours at Covered Bridge are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
