MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Two men were injured in a shooting in Hyde Park.

Memphis police responded to a report of a shooting on Hunter Avenue just after 2 a.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim covered in blood.

According to the police report, someone in the area called police after hearing 20 to 30 shots.

Another person living in the area said he heard someone say, “Don’t shoot him.”

A witness told police he was at the scene selling drinks in front of his home when he saw a man riding a bicycle.

Police said a witness saw the suspect jump off his bike and pull out a knife and a gun.

According to the police report, the suspect fired in an unknown direction, hitting the victim.

Police found the suspect at his aunt’s home on Eldridge Avenue.

She called the police and said her nephew had been shot in the foot.

He was taken to hospital in non-critical condition.

The injured man was taken to hospital in critical condition.

He was arrested at the hospital because several arrest warrants were issued for him.
