Newly installed traffic lights at the intersection of Harlem Grovetown Rd. and Old Louisville Rd.

Columbia County, Georgia (WJBF) – Newly installed traffic lights will be operational at the intersection of Harlem Grovetown Road and Old Louisville Road.

According to Columbia County traffic engineers, as of Wednesday, July 10, newly installed traffic lights have been operating in flashing mode.

On Harlem Grovetown Road, drivers will see yellow flashing traffic lights, meaning travelers on Harlem Grovetown Road should use caution at the intersection, and on Old Louisville Road, drivers will see red flashing traffic lights, meaning stop at Old Louisville Road.

Traffic engineers say these rules will remain in place until the traffic lights are fully operational and, weather permitting, the traffic light intersection will go into full stop-and-go mode on Monday, July 15.

Authorities advise drivers to exercise caution as this is a major change at the location.
