New traffic lights installed at the intersection of Harlem Grovetown Road and Old Louisville Road

The traffic lights installed at the intersection of Harlem Grovetown Road and Old Louisville Road went into flashing mode on Wednesday, July 10..

Drivers will see yellow flashing signal lights on Harlem Grovetown Road and red flashing signal lights on Old Louisville Road. A flashing yellow light means drivers should use caution when crossing the intersection when approaching from Harlem Grovetown Road, while a red light means drivers should stop when approaching from Old Louisville Road.

“These rules will remain in effect until the signal is fully operational. Weather permitting, the signalized intersection will transition to full stop-and-go traffic on Monday, July 15,” Columbia County said in a news release.

There will be signage to inform drivers of the signal changes. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching the intersection due to this change.
