June brings flies, midges and many others

Flies in the kitchen, warm salmon and an unidentified pink growth on the ice machine are just some of the violations health inspectors found at 14 low-scoring restaurants in June.

Last month, the Tennessee Department of Health inspected more than 675 restaurants, food trucks and other food establishments in Davidson County. The median initial inspection score was a near-perfect 98 out of 100.

Not all restaurants achieved such high scores.

Below is a list (in alphabetical order) of the 14 restaurants that received a score of 74 or lower during initial inspections conducted in June.

All restaurants on the list are located in Nashville. Restaurants are given a chance to correct errors, and sometimes a follow-up inspection is conducted the same day. If the follow-up inspection is completed by the time of publication, the result is noted.
