Golin Hires Creative Directors in Dallas, Miami

DALLAS: Golin has hired Ryan Durr as chief creative officer in Dallas and Frank Garcia as chief creative officer in Miami.

Durr reports to Beth Engelmann, managing director of Golin Dallas, while Garcia reports to Ian Abrams, managing director of the company’s southeast region, according to a statement from the agency.

As Golin’s first Dallas-based head of creative, Durr will expand and lead the creative department, overseeing work for clients including Adobe, Cisco and Purina. He will also spearhead new business development by developing creative solutions and concepts, the statement said.

Garcia will oversee creative work for clients in the Southeast region, including Celebrity Cruises, CDC and Hard Rock. She will also work with Golin’s New York-based creative team on both client work, including Ferrero brands, and new business.

Additionally, Durr and Garcia will join Golina’s U.S. creative team.

Durr joins us from creative agency Preacher, where he was Creative Director.

For the past year, Garcia has been the creative director of the Mojo Supermarket group. Before that, he was he worked in Golina as SVP and group creative director. Earlier in his career, Garcia was creative director at advertising agency Gut.

A spokesman for Golin was not initially available for comment.

Last month at the Cannes Lions Golin International Festival of Creativity won the PR Lions Grand Prix for The Misheard Version campaign in aid of Specsavers.

In addition, at this year’s PRWeek US Awards, Golin won Outstanding Extra-Large Agency, Agency of the Year and appointed Matt Neale as CEO Outstanding PR Pro agency.

Golin, an agency of Interpublic Group, announced that Revenue up 6% to $378 million worldwide and 7% to $240 million in the US in 2023, according to PRWeek 2024 Agency Business Report.

According to an IPG spokesman, Golin recorded double-digit year-over-year organic growth in the first quarter.
