East Memphis search warrant leads to duo’s arrest on drug charges

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were arrested in East Memphis following a home visit by law enforcement officers Tuesday morning, according to Memphis police.

At 11:20 a.m., officers with the Organized Crime Unit say they assisted Federal Probation and Parole with a home visit to the 1200 block of North Session Court. A search warrant was later executed.

According to police, both targets were inside the residence at the time.

Actiavious Cobb, 29, and Zachary Phillips, 19, were charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, theft of property under $2,500, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell: marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cobb also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony.

Detectives say they found three rifles (one reported stolen), four handguns (three reported stolen), marijuana and a digital scale inside the home. During the execution of the search warrant, they also found an “AOB” necklace, which refers to the “All Off the Blade” gang.

Actiavious Cobb and Zachary Phillips are scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning. Their bail has not been set.
