Baltimore Orioles lose second straight to Chicago Cubs 4-0

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles failed to score a single run for just the third time this season, falling 4-0 to the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night at Camden Yards.

It was also the first time since May 7 that the O’s failed to score a point.

The Orioles, who lost the first two games of a three-game series to the Cubs, had nine hits, including three by Ryan Mountcastle.

They failed to score a single point from 11 despite players being in scoring position and 10 players remaining on base.

Pitcher Corbin Burnes allowed three runs on nine hits and was outscored by Cubs ace Shota Imanaga, who tossed six shutout innings.

The Cubs got a solo home run by Christopher Morel and RBI singles by Nico Hoerner, Seiya Suzuki and Michael Busch.

The Orioles (57-35) will complete the series with the Cubs on Thursday at 6:35 p.m.
