Arrests in 3 states after man killed in downtown Charlotte

CHARLOTTA (NEWS FROM THE QUEEN’S CITY) — Multiple arrests have been made in three different states in connection with the murder of a man in uptown Charlotte in June, CMPD said.

Authorities said the body of 36-year-old Corey Damoan Robinson was found Friday, June 14, in the 500 block of North Graham Street after CMPD officers arrived on the scene to conduct a well-being check.

On July 2, the case was officially classified as a homicide after “further investigation,” CMPD said.

On July 10, CMPD announced the arrests of three people caught in North Carolina, Nebraska and Tennessee.

Three suspects were arrested within days of each other. Lasha Lynne Big Eagle, 37, was arrested in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on July 2 and charged with obtaining property by false pretenses and identity theft.

Ayyad Faour Sukkar, 24, was arrested July 5 in Memphis, Tennessee, and charged with murder, robbery, bank card theft and motor vehicle theft.

A third suspect, Tracey Pinnix Sukkar, 50, was arrested July 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and charged with fraud and identity theft.

Authorities said 10 agencies from across the United States were involved in the arrests.
