“I can do it again”

“I can do it again”

This week, Netflix released a behind-the-scenes documentary featuring the NFL’s top players from the 2023 season, including the 49ers’ center George KittleIn addition to following San Francisco’s path to Super Bowl LVIII, the Netflix crew also captured one of Kittle’s viral stunts that ultimately cost him several thousand dollars.

On Kittle’s 30th birthday, the former Iowa star had one of the best games of his career against the NFC rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, recording four receptions, three of them for touchdowns, and celebrating by showing off a T-shirt under his jersey that read: “F*** Dallas.”

Kittle had all the 49ers tight ends get their jerseys ready before the game, but he was the only one who dared to wear them. After scoring three touchdowns, the tight end didn’t hold back much, but he still shocked some of his teammates. The 49ers star Deebo Samuel remarked, “George Kittle is rude,” while his teammates applauded. Knowing it would cost him a nice fine from the NFL, he tried to get his teammate to cover up the tag, but Samuel said, “I have nothing to do with it.”

“Will you pay half?” Kittle asked Samuel. “I’ll be fined that much money.”

In hindsight, the tight end still has no regrets. He told Netflix that the fine was worth it.

“It was $15,000 and I don’t regret it one bit. Not one bit. And I’d do it again if I had the chance,” he said with a cheeky grin.

Micah Parsons warns Kittle after jersey stunt

Kittle’s jersey was an insult to the Cowboys, who lost 42-10. It was supposed to be a chance for revenge for Dallas after the 49ers knocked them out of the playoffs last season. After the game, Cowboys star Micah Parsons warned Kittle that what happens, happens.

“George Kittle had three touchdowns on us and he posted it on IG,” Parsons said on his show “The Edge.” “He said, ‘F Dallas.’ I just feel like he’s making it a lot more personal than it needs to be. Kittle’s my guy, but I’ll say this: laugh now, cry later.”

“We have something for that, just trust,” he continued. “If we see them again, just trust and we’ll just do it. I’m not going to put too much stock in it. You do it in person, we can do it in person. That’s cool.”

The two teams never had a chance to meet again in the playoffs as the Cowboys lost to the Packers in the first round.
