Four members of local harmony choir earn trip to Denver

Four members of the local harmony choir California Note Catchers will be

trip to Harmony University, which takes place at the University of Denver at the end

July.

Kayla Rodgers – director (Spring Valley), Annie Colt – assistant director

(San Diego), Karen Hasman (La Mesa) and Anne Ash (Santee) will be

taking part in the week-long event.

Harmony University will be holding classes for singers during the week. Classes include: sight singing, performance style, tag writing, conducting, ear training, coaching sessions and much more.

“Singing has so many benefits. It improves our health and well-being,” Hasman noted. “Singing for a week will be a great investment for the participants and for me as well. Harmony University is for men and women not only from the United States but from all over the world.”
