Boston Among Nation’s Most Pedestrian-Friendly Cities

Boston is one of the most walkable cities in the country, according to a new study USA Today Report Top 10 US Cities for Tourists to Walk Around.

Selected by travel experts and rated by readers for their walkability, these 10 cities offer a variety of attractions, restaurants and places to stay, all connected by pedestrian-friendly streets.

Sixth on the list was Boston, which had the distinction of being walkable in several of its neighborhoods, including Beacon Hill, the North End, Back Bay, and Harvard Square.

Philadelphia topped the list, followed by Providence, Rhode Island, and Key West, Fla. St. Augustine, Fla., came in at No. 4, with New Orleans rounding out the top five.
