Award-Winning New York Irish Pub Tries Its Luck in Boston

An award-winning Irish pub that originated in New York City will open in Boston in 2025, a spokesperson for the restaurant told MassLive.

A spokesperson confirmed that Dead Rabbit will be coming to Boston after expansions in Austin, Texas (which debuted this month) and Washington, D.C., earlier this year. The exact location of the pub was not disclosed.

The spokesperson said more details about The Dead Rabbit’s move to Boston will be announced later in the year.

According to the pub’s website, Dead Rabbit launched in 2013 at its flagship location in New York’s Financial District.

“Our origins lie in a grocery and grog shop with a 70-page cocktail menu and a focus on traditional music and 18th century punches. Today, our mission is to proudly promote the Emerald Isle and the talented people who call it home,” the website reads.

The Dead Rabbit has received dozens of accolades over the past 11 years, and in 2016 was named one of the world’s 50 best bars. The pub has also won eight Tales of the Cocktail Spirited awards.
