Aces vs. Storm WNBA Prediction, Odds and Key Players for Wednesday, July 10 (Trust Se

The WNBA standings could be turned around on Wednesday as the Las Vegas Aces head into the road as favorites with a four-point lead over the Seattle Storm.

Seattle currently holds a half-point lead over the Aces in the standings, so a win for A’ja Wilson and company would vault Vegas into 4th place in the league.

Seattle has been playing well at home, going 9-2, but had split two road games with the Aces earlier this season. Both of those games were away, with the Aces winning one by 11 points and the Storm winning the other by 13.

Does Seattle have any value in being an underdog at home this afternoon?

Let’s take a quick look at the odds, key players to watch, and of course, the best bet for Wednesday’s battle.

Aces of Las Vegas

Aja Wilson: MVP favorite Wilson has been on a roll lately, scoring 28 or more points in three of her last four games to boost her season averages to 27.0 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. She has 27 and 29 points in her first two meetings with the Storm in 2024.

Seattle Storm

Skylar Diggins-Smith: After missing last season due to maternity leave, Diggins-Smith has impressed in her first season in Seattle, averaging 13.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game while shooting 40.3 percent from the field.

I’m a little shocked that Seattle is being viewed as an underdog when none of their best players are out of the lineup.

The Aces haven’t been as dominant this season as they were in 2023, finishing fifth in net rating (behind the Storm at fourth) and sixth in defensive rating. They still have the league’s No. 1 offense, but their defense has taken a step back.

Seattle should be able to hold its own against the Aces, especially since they rank 3rd in the league in defense.

The Storm are also a great team to bet on at home (8-3 against the spread) in 2024. I love betting on them and taking points against an Aces team that is 3-5 ATS on the road.

Selection: Storm + (-110)
