Big Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets trade news revealed

With the NBA draft just around the corner, teams are stepping up trade discussions. It looks like the trade market could be very active leading up to the draft and even on draft day as many teams explore all options to improve their rosters. This also applies to the Memphis Grizzlies, as while they own the ninth pick in this year’s draft, they intend to turn him into a rotation player next season.

This could be done a few different ways for the Grizzlies, as they could simply draft a projected rotation pick at No. 9, or they could trade that pick in a deal that would move them up in the draft, or simply for an already established player.

In a recent report, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote the following about the discussions in Memphis leading up to the draft:

“The Grizzlies have also expressed preliminary interest in trading the Nets center Day’Ron Sharpe they hit the trade deadline last season and now they’ve turned back again, league sources told HoopsHype. It’s worth noting that the Grizzlies were also fans of the Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith away since it was acquired by Brooklyn and has previously attempted to trade on its behalf.

The Nets are a team that could certainly be traded this summer as they have some desirable veteran players on their roster who no longer fit their roster. For a team like Memphis, it would certainly make sense to reach out to Brooklyn, which they reportedly already did.
