Gas prices in Baltimore are rising 10 cents, higher than the national average, says GasBuddy – Baltimore Sun

Gas prices in Baltimore rose 10.4 cents a gallon last week, averaging $3.61 a gallon, according to a new GasBuddy study.

Prices in Baltimore are 9.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and 21.5 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of gasoline rose 1 cent per gallon last week, averaging $3.41 per gallon on Monday.

“As the national average gasoline price dropped last week to the lowest level seen in June 2021, we have seen the decline in prices take a pause, with some states seeing a slight increase over the past week. Fortunately, I expect this to be a rather short pause, after which most states will see a return to falling gasoline prices,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.

According to GasBuddy’s price reports, the cheapest station in Baltimore on Sunday was $3.06 a gallon and the most expensive was $3.99 a gallon.

The lowest price in the state yesterday was $3.05 per gallon and the highest was $4.29 per gallon, a difference of $1.24 per gallon.

The national average is down 18 cents per gallon from a month ago and is 13.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data.
